Terms and Conditions

Last updated: November 2026

1. Parties

These terms apply to all writing services provided by Rupa Thapa, trading as QuillCraft Content ("I", "me", "my"), to the client ("you", "the client").

2. Sole-Trader Identity

QuillCraft Content is independently owned and operated by Rupa Thapa as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. No representation is made or implied that the business is a limited company, partnership or agency.

3. Contact Details

Address: 599 Leytonstone High Road, London, E11 4PB, United Kingdom. Email: hello@quillcraftcontent.co.uk.

4. Services

I provide original content-writing services, including blog articles, website copy, SEO-focused articles, marketing copy and content planning, as described on the Services and Pricing pages.

5. Project Brief and Scope

Before any writing begins, the client submits a project brief and the scope is confirmed in writing. Scope includes subject, audience, tone, word count, deliverables, revision allowance and delivery date. Work is carried out on the basis of the confirmed scope.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate information, timely responses, existing brand materials where relevant and any factual or legal approvals required before publication.

7. Accuracy of Supplied Information

I am entitled to rely on the accuracy of information supplied by the client. I am not liable for errors resulting from inaccurate, incomplete or misleading source material.

8. Research Limitations

Where research is included, it is limited to publicly available material and any sources you supply. Specialist, regulated or professional advice must be obtained separately from an appropriately qualified adviser.

9. Delivery Schedules

Agreed delivery dates are honoured wherever possible. If a delay becomes unavoidable, you will be notified in advance and a revised date will be agreed.

10. Revisions

Each package includes one consolidated revision round per deliverable, unless a different structure has been agreed in writing. Feedback should be provided in a single consolidated set to enable efficient revision.

11. Additional Work

Requests outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately and only proceed with your written approval.

12. Payment Terms

Standard packages are payable in advance through Stripe Checkout. Bespoke engagements may be invoiced with agreed payment terms. Late payment may result in suspension of work.

13. BACS Direct Debit

Where available through Stripe Checkout, eligible UK customers may see BACS Direct Debit as a payment option. Availability is subject to customer eligibility and Stripe account configuration.

14. Stripe Checkout

Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. Card or bank details are entered into Stripe's own secure interface and are not collected directly by this website.

15. Cancellation

Projects may be cancelled by the client in writing at any time. Refunds are handled according to the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

16. Refunds

Refunds are addressed in the separate Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

17. Intellectual Property Transfer

Ownership of the final, approved content transfers to you once full payment has been received. Drafts, unused concepts and internal working documents remain with QuillCraft Content.

18. Portfolio Permission

I may reference the type of work delivered in an anonymised form. Named or client-attributed portfolio references are only used with the client's prior permission.

19. Confidentiality

Information you share is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the service. It is not shared with third parties except where necessary for delivery, required by law or authorised by you.

20. Third-Party Content

The client is responsible for ensuring that any third-party materials supplied for use in the content are used lawfully and with appropriate rights or licences in place.

21. Prohibited or Unlawful Briefs

I do not accept briefs that are misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, in breach of applicable law or that promote unlawful activity. Any such request may be declined without liability.

22. No Ranking or Performance Guarantees

No guarantee is offered as to search-engine rankings, traffic, leads, conversions, revenue or sales, which depend on many external factors beyond any content deliverable.

23. Liability Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability arising from or in connection with any engagement is limited to the fees actually paid for that engagement. I am not liable for indirect, consequential or reputational loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

24. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond their reasonable control.

25. Complaints

Complaints are handled under the separate Complaints Procedure.

26. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
